Introduction
GIBB’s Transport Services Sector provides a comprehensive range of services that include traditional consulting services (design, procurement and contract supervision), Public Private Partnership (PPP) solutions and asset management services. This includes high capacity freeways, interchanges and bridges, airport pavements, rural roads (including low volume and haul roads) and municipal infrastructure. The team is supported by transportation and traffic engineers, geotechnical and material engineers and other specialists.

The Project Manager is responsible for the management of projects. This includes planning, organising, leading and controlling projects over the project lifecycle in order to deliver the project to the client’s requirements within budget and on time.

Requirements
Qualifications

oBachelor’s Degree in Engineering
oPr Eng (advantageous)
oPMP (advantageous)
oPost-graduate qualify qualification in Project Management or Engineering Management (advantageous)

Experience

oTwelve (12) years experience (registered) or fourteen (14) years experience (unregistered) after qualification
oMinimum eight (8) years experience successfully managing multi-disciplinary projects in the traffic / transportation / roads / railway / airports sectors – supported by a proven portfolio of evidence
oPlan, organize and control complex projects, including exercising sound financial control, successful budget planning, having a full awareness of professional liability and risk
oSuccessful business development which includes successful client care and retention, and the financial and technical preparation and submission of proposals and bids
oSuccessful training and mentoring of junior employees
