About this role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to do the following:
•Responsible for the design and implementation of Structural Building
Projects with a view to facilitate the growth of this area of expertise in the structural business unit.

Key performance areas:
•Co-ordinate and manage Structural Building Projects internally
•Ensure conformance of proposal to client requirements
•Preliminary and detailed structural analysis and design and facilitate Design Reviews on projects
•Project financial management and control including managing Bid Cost versus Budget and Effort/Revenue variance, WIP and AR and take corrective actions where required to ensure that project budgets are met.
•Assist in the preparation of tenders, documentation and reports for Structural projects
•Control Construction supervision and site monitoring
•Adherence to Quality Management System and closeout of Corrective Action Reports (CAR’s) following project audits
•Service Excellence and client satisfaction
•Facilitate and assist with Business Development in the area of Structural Building Projects.
•Mentor and develop staff
Key requirements:

•BSc Engineering
•10+ years minimum, relevant Structural Building experience over and above civil experience
•Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards
•Good knowledge of structural software (e.g. Prokon/Orion)
•Project Management qualification would be advantageous
•Willing to successfully complete GIBB’s internal Fundamental Management Development Programme (within 12 months of employment)
