Key Account Manager - Retail

To provide Key Account leadership, ownership and management to external and internal stakeholders in line with the business strategy.
Managing client accounts to ensure contractual obligations of clients and the company strategic objectives are met (including collections targets and service standards).
Exploring and developing new business development initiatives or opportunities, including expanding of current mandates and revenues.
Building and maintaining key customer relationships
Engagement, management of, and input with and to internal business divisions on client requirements & collections strategies.
Concluding service level agreements with the client
Set up and drive strategic client meetings
Budgeting with the intent of achieving existing and additional revenues targets from the existing client base.
Monthly and quarterly meetings with clients to convert opportunities for additional business from existing client base.
Concluding joint venture agreements with the client.
Providing input to the executive with preparation for new business strategies.
Successfully implementing sustainable short, medium and long term business development strategies - including developing and driving sales and proposals.
Account planning and management.
Compiling, analyzing, forecasting and reporting on short, medium and long term business prospects and opportunity.
Initiating and developing innovative ways of attracting new client business.
Facilitating the generation of standard and ad hoc reports ( daily, weekly, monthly etc).
Review of internal collections and service performance.
Evaluating and implementing corrective action.
Analyzing trends to ascertain capacity for future months.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Business or a related field.
Proficient in Miscrosoft Office packages.
3 - 5 Years experience in a Key Account Management environment, within Retail/Financial Service Leading industry.
Experience in collections/ Debt recovery/ Credit Industry advantageous.
MS Office Skills
Business writing and corporate communication
(Advantageous) Knowledge and understanding of the:
- National Credit Act
- Debit Collector Act
- Companies Act
- Working Knowledge of: Cheetah ASC and MBD versions
- Query Resolution System
Good interpersonal skills

Ability to effectively direct a team to achieve strategic results.
Work within multiple teams to achieve goals and objectives of MBD and Clients.
