Purpose of the position:
Working towards increasing the turnover of Hitachi through effective support and sales of parts. Oversee stock management.

Duties and responsibilities:
Strategy Formulation, Implementation, Management and Business Performance
Provide strategic direction to the business by implementing models that increase efficiencies and operational standards of excellence. Support the meeting of agreed turnaround times while curbing costs.
Align department strategies and objectives to business strategy.
Ensure successful implementation of department strategy and objectives.
Ensure the increase in and retention of market share.
Monitor selling of parts in order to monitor progress against set sales targets.
Promote and assist with strategy on selling redundant parts.
Monitor the customer database
Identify and exploit new business opportunities for new and redundant parts.
Perform market research for department.
Assist and provide input on developing market strategy and plan for the department.
Develop and evaluate parts holdings
Monitor and manage the procurement function in accordance with policies, procedures and BBBEE Strategy and within set time frame.
Manage stock levels and ensure stock levels are monitored daily.
Monitor that redundant stock is identified, recorded and reported to Finance.
Bachelor of Commerce: Public Procurement Management; Advanced Diploma: Business Management and Administration OR Bachelor of Commerce Honours: Business Management OR Bachelor of Business Science in Management
Procurement or Production and Inventory Management: Operational 7 years; Managerial 5 years
