Responsible for logging calls on the call logging system.
New installation Desktop computers, Laptops, Scanners, Printers and Switches.
Logging and tracking of incidents and requests on the call logging system.
Setting up and linking users to printers.
Repairs and installing software on users PC’s.
Configure and set up printers on the network and ensuring day to day user efficiency.
Printers (Samsung, Brother and Hewlett Packard) troubleshoot and repair of equipment.
Provide technical advice and support to end-users and making sure devices are working.
Provide helpdesk and desktop support.
Configure and set up computing and networking equipment.
Install and upgrade software and hardware products.
Make sure all reported computer equipment that must be repaired by the maintenance company
will be removed properly registered with serial numbers.
Prioritize reported problems and give assistance to users regarding problems which relate to
hardware, software and system problems.
Personal computers installation (desktop & notebooks).
Peripheral devices (modems, network interface card, memory Simms, scanners, CD-ROM, HDD):
Installations and trouble shooting.
Installing operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10) and Office applications
(Office 2010, 2013, 2016).
Create and maintain software maintenance database.
Creating & managing user e-mail accounts (Novell GroupWise).
Anti-virus installation & updates.
Maintaining frontline services desk user support & interfacing with suppliers and service providers.
Give feedback to users on logged calls on a continuous basis and ensure all calls are properly
closed and updated with SLA information.
Responsible for computer hardware audit.
Visit branches throughout the country on a regular basis to set up new infrastructure or troubleshoot existing infrastructure to ensure optimal use of AVBOB resources.
IT Diploma or A+ and N+.
4 – 5 Years’ experience in this position.
3 Years End User support experience.
Solid experience in Microsoft packages.
Experience of managing multiple Microsoft platforms.
Knowledge of Netware Enterprise Package (Novell packages).
Good understanding of windows installation, software and database management systems.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Good telephone etiquette.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Multitask and detailed orientated.
Valid driver’s licence and must be willing to travel.
