•Drafting and vetting agreements
•Attending to litigation for and against TIA
•Conducting legal due diligence regarding TIA funded projects and compiling reports of findings
•Providing legal opinion as and when needed
•Assisting the Head of Legal Resources in the preparation of budgets for the legal department
• Assisting TIA to ensure compliance with all TIA regulations and systems applicable to TIA’s operations.
Essential: Legal degree plus admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa • At least 5 years post-admission working experience in a corporate/commercial environment • Prior exposure or working experience in an entity or organization that is part of the National System of Innovation would be an added advantage• A post graduate or additional qualification in commercial law would also be an added advantage•Must have extensive contract drafting and negotiation experience.
•Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
•Must have excellent report writing skills
•Must have good knowledge of the legal environment within which TiA operates.
•Must have excellent computer skills.
