Specification
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Ensure FAIS compliance with Fit and Proper criteria by administering annual verifications of the
Fit and Proper statuses of all representatives and Key Individuals registered on the central
representative register at the FSB.
Maintain central representative and Key Individual register at the FSB through the bi-monthly
submission of revised register and the reconciliation thereof.
Facilitate the monthly administration of the monthly licence validations of contracted brokers.
Section 13 certificates and FSB annual levy payments
Administer the “Personal Service Provider Status" verification of contracted brokers annually to
ensure compliance with TAX legislation.
Operations- Supervise department operations and ensure that they are affected timeously and
accurately to render administrative assistance to Life Offices.
Supervise administration of branch appointments within three days of receipt of an application
according to prescribed appointment criteria, the compiling and maintenance of employment
contracts for branch appointments daily
Allocate commission codes for new appointments and ensure accurate and timeous activations
of new commission codes on all relevant systems
Authorise timeous and accurate payments to institutions on productions (i.e. DCB).
Identify training needs for subordinates and ensure that identified subordinates are trained
according to identified needs.
Provide training, coaching and mentoring to subordinates to facilitate optimal employee
development
Facilitate performance monitoring annually according to company policy
Supervisory and administration functions as required for the position
Requirements
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:
Grade 12
RE1/RE5 will be a strong advantage
Relevant Tertiary Qualification
Computer literacy
Long Term Insurance experience
Knowledge of Financial Advisory and Intermediary Service Act & Regulations
Decision making and Problem Solving skills
Communication skills
