Introduction
The leading bridal, special occasions and men's formal wear business in SA is recruiting for an Accountant in their Finance department based at their Head Office.

Daily
•Print UCS Tender transaction report
•Receive manager’s banking spread sheet and all banking documents
oMatch money bank to manager’s banking columns and UCS tender transactions
oLiaise with stores for all banking queries
oMaintaining banking query register and ensure all queries are closed.
oSubmit banking for review
oStock adjustment
oReconcile and ensure the main cashbook balances to bank statement
Weekly
•Capitalise fixed Assets
•Process journals for all Sundry debtors floats
•Balance the banking sheets( UCS & ENSURE) to the bank statement
•Review DPS (Sales, Lay byes) and agree to UCS report
•Recxpress store bank accounts
•Review overdue lay byes for all stores and follow up o/s amounts with GM’s
•Maintain and balances cash flow
Monthly
•Process ensure journals
•Prepare head office expense schedule
• Reconcile main account
•Reconcile Deposits control, lay bye control to all sub modules in UCS
•Reconcile entity’s bank accounts: Bidvest, Nedbank, Investec, USD , CFC & Call Acc, Mercantile
•Reconcile CB/AR Section of the balance sheet
•Any other ADHOC duties assigned by management
•Balances Jessica’s DPS to GL
Training
•If / when required by management you will attend training courses which may take place during working hours, after working hours or over weekends
Requirements
Requirements:
•Matric
•Accounting qualification an added advantage
•Must have extensive accounting knowledge – must fully understand basic journals, sales etc.
•Deadline driven – position requires overtime to be worked at critical times in the month
•Well organised, methodical individual who has the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
•The ability to extract pertinent & vital information from many different sources to analyse and interpret is an important part of this role
•Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
•Computer literate & knowledge of Microsoft office essential
•Attention to detail
•Able to work flexible hours in a semi-structured environment
