Introduction
To support the business requirements for the provision of system testing services. To support Business-related test activities, in terms of communications to and from the business test representatives and ensuring through the Test Manager that key test issues are managed or escalated as necessary

Specification
To ensure that test scenarios and scripts are prepared in a structured way, prioritised to reflect business or technical priorities and are approved by appropriate stakeholders. Scope is to cover test cycle contents and regression packs.

To create and review automated and functional test scripts, execute complex test scripts, monitor the execution of automated scripts and ensure results are recorded.
To co-ordinate re-testing of defects and issues either through ‘at desk’ re-tests by business test representatives or via walkthroughs with third-party providers.
To prepare and maintain relevant test documentation, including test scripts, activity schedules, narrative and written reports, and visual progress charts

To liaise with and assist each line of business regarding the test planning, testing activity, and test results analysis.

To take responsibility for: own time management; reporting and monitoring; risk management; issue management; quality assurance and change management.

Daily execution meetings with project stakeholders to review daily status and confirm next steps / actions or JAD Sessions.

Schedule and hold internal and external meetings; to achieve effective SIT test results

To carry out other tasks as agreed with the Senior. Analyst or Team Leader

Execution of tests.
To undertake functional and integration testing, and liaison with third-party suppliers to ensure appropriate test coverage.
To undertake Quality Assurance checks during third-party supplier and internal developments to ensure that only ‘fit-for-purpose’ code is delivered into test environments owned by the TTS test team.

Develop Relationships and Networks:
Easily establishes good relationships with customers and staff; Builds wide and effective networks of contacts.
To attend workshops comprising business and or technical representatives to cover test- dependent activities such as requirement verification and prioritisation, test scenario identification and general matters.

To liaise with and assist each line of business regarding the test planning, testing activity, and test results analysis.
Collating, confirming and managing business sign off on the scope of SIT phase and final SIT plan for the project.

To support other test team members and associated IT and Business resources as appropriate to the implementation of testing related activities.
Guidance (Technical and business processes) of Software Test Team assigned to the project. Assist and support testers regarding Test Methodologies and creation of test requirements and test cases.
Assist business to create Training documentation and UAT execution.
Assistance in the preparation of test plans and test scripts.
Ensuring high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software release.
Prepare and maintain test plans for use on automated testing tools.
Preparation / review of test plan and test scripts to test each software component and demonstrate the business condition under test and the expected results.
Creation of daily and weekly progress reports as required.
Creation of defect reports for defect management and reporting to Project Manager
Providing feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements.
Support other test team members and associated IT and Business resources as appropriate to the implementation of testing related activities.

Preparation/review of test plans, test cases, test schedules and Test reports.
Collation of SIT Environment requirements ensuring identification of tools and data.
Timeously identify gaps/risks/issues relating to the project and manage SIT testing from beginning to end.
To provide estimates and feedback to the Project Manager and Software Development Manager for project scheduling purposes.
To prepare and maintain relevant test documentation, including test scripts, activity schedules, narrative and written reports, and visual progress charts.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

Level of Education:
Essential:
Grade 12 (Standard 10) with University Entrance (NQF4)
ISTQB Foundation Certification

Desirable:
A recognized software Testing certification / diploma / degree

Experience:
Essential:
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a software Junior Test Analyst role
Minimum 3 years Telesure system and business experience ***

Experience in testing and analytics
Worked on more than two projects
Exposure to various Automation Tools
