To coordinate safety and security promotions events, awareness campaigns and maintain communication with the industry.
AVIATION AWARENESS PROGRAMMES:
Build relationships with the department of education offices.
Coordinate schools visits.
Conduct presentations on careers in aviation.
Coordinate attendance of learners at air show, where necessary.
Ensure that information on aviation careers is up to date and accurate.
Coordinate attendance of learners at airshows.
Ensure that trip reports are submitted to Senior Aviation Development Officer timeously.
SAFETY AND SECURITY PROMOTION:
Effectively communicate safety and security messages using all necessary communication mediums.
Liaise with air show organisers for SACAA to attend the air show.
Attend safety presentations at flying clubs when required to.
Coordinate industry safety promotion events, i.e. workshops, seminars and conference and ensure that branding is always visible.
Work with technical departments to ensure their safety related events i.e. workshops, conferences and campaigns are carried out efficiently and professionally.
Ensure that all events are evaluated by attendees and that evaluation forms are collected and submitted to Senior Aviation
Development Officer for post- event analysis.
Ensure safety publication and other safety related promotional items are distributed at industry events.
ADVERTISE IN INDUSTRY PUBLICATIONS:
Place adverts in industry publications when required to and ensure accuracy thereof.
MONTHLY AND QUARTERLY REPORTS:
Write reports for all events and submit to Senior Aviation Development Officer.
Submit monthly reports to Senior Aviation Development Officer on time.
MAINTENENANCE OF DEPARTMENTAL VEHICLE:
Ensure that all records relating to the departmental vehicle are up to date.
Ensure that when service intervals are due, these are reported to Senior Aviation Development Officer.
Ensure that the vehicle is kept in a good condition.
DEVELOPMENT OF PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL:
Develop relevant marketing materials e.g. banners, brochures, etc.
Ensure that stock movement records are always kept up to date.
Ensure that stock levels are maintained.
Ensure that correct forms are used at all times.
Ensure that all activities are conducted in line with ISO policies and procedures.
Education (Formal Qualification required):
National Diploma / National Higher Certificate in Marketing/Public Relations/Communication.
Experience (Minimum Experience required - type and number of years):
3 Years Aviation Development Officer.
Preference will be given to African Males in line with the SACAA Employment Equity Plan.
