Introduction
The Human Resource Sector is looking for another talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Human Resource Officer. We welcome your application if you believe you meet the requirements for this position.

You will be required to provide support to all staff on payroll and employee related matters (salary queries, bonuses, pension, medical aid, death and disability, terminations, etc.), ensure accurate take-on of all new staff, administer any contract related changes and amendments, provide HR statistics as and when required and to provide general HR related administrative duties.

Specification
•Termination administration - ensuring that final payment is calculated correctly, employee benefits are cancelled and withdrawn on time and Payroll is informed of all terminations before payroll closure date.
•Employee benefits administration - Administer all new applications, amendments/changes, withdrawals and claims from Medical aid, pension and death and disability insurance as well as any other employee benefits.
•Work Permit administration - assisting foreign employees with work permit applications, renewals, confirmations and terminations and ensuring that all foreign employees have valid work permit or business visa while employed and are not in breach of the Immigration Act.
•Capture and maintain employee information on VIP i.e. qualifications, professional registrations, work permit expiry dates, contract expiry dates, etc.
•Contract Administration - Timely preparation of contract amendments and extensions and capturing on VIP as per Sector Unit Manager Instructions.
•Industrial Relation administration - prepares documentation as requested by the HR Manager and capture all incidents on VIP for record purposes and reporting.
•General HR administration - Data capturing, reporting, etc.
•Assistance with ad hoc HR Projects.
•Leave Administration - Monthly reconciliation of employee leave records between VIP and BST, ESS processing, Monthly leave reports, Botswana leave processing on VIP, etc.
•New employee take-on - administers the new employee take-on process (from contract creation through to payroll take-on) and ensure accurate take-on into GIBB's HR systems.
•Personnel file maintenance - file and maintain employee records in personnel files.
•HR Statistics - prepare periodic and ad hoc statistics (such as headcounts, staff movements, professional registrations, etc.).
•VIP Reports - create and print reports from VIP (standard monthly and ad hoc when requested)
•Employee Self Service (ESS) - Administer and control employee changes on ESS (i.e. personal detail/family detail changes).
Requirements
•National Diploma / Degree in Human Resource Management.
•0-2 years relevant HR experience
•MS Office applications (Intermediate to Advanced level)
•Working knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA
•VIP Payroll
