Actively participates in the technical planning, design, maintenance and support of security
systems of all AVBOB agencies and at Head Office
Implements and maintains security solutions systems to ensure uptime and reliability by providing
guidance and advice to business in respect of security solutions.
Knowledge sharing on researched latest security products relevant to AVBOB’s business.
Provide technical support to systems, services and networks regarding security and provide advice and guidance to business technologies and costs.
Ensures that backup and scheduling of software maintenance is undertaken timeously of all security facilities/systems across the Group.
Document and keep records of all security equipment and their related interconnections.
Diagnoses security vulnerabilities of systems, databases, network and a variety of equipment for the purpose of identifying needed repairs and/or ensuring equipment is in proper working order.
Deliver proper client service to all eternal and external stake holders.
Ensures that forward planning is taken place around security technologies in line with improved technological advancement in order for growth, sustainability and business continuity.
Ensures that all security solutions adhere to approved quality assurance processes. All operational tasks to be in compliance with approved SOP’s.
Provide technical support on advisory capacity to all stakeholders where possible and sustain a productive customer relationship.
Ensure proper Administration within the area under control and assist with the asset verification and budget alignment and provide management reports.
Support users, update and report on tickets in the service desk system as per SLA’s and deliver exceptional client service.
Implement systems according to industry best practice and highlight abuse of costs and systems.

Relevant Degree (Security)
Cisco Certified Network Professional - Security

Knowledge of premise cabling design and installation.
Knowledge of enterprise networks, routing and switching.
Knowledge of enterprise NGFW’s, NAT and PAT, SIEM, penetration testing and vulnerability analysis.
3 Years’ technical experience in networking
3 Years’ technical experience in security
2 Years’ experience managing 3rd party suppliers

Knowledge of network hardware and software specifications
Knowledge of security hardware and software specifications
Knowledge of market related tendencies and best practices.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Accurate, figure orientated and focus on detail.
Ability to work under pressure.
