Introduction
PURPOSE
Responsible for managing several projects that drive digitisation, visualisation and analysis of data and a resulting improvement in business process. The incumbent will drive a culture of strong data collection and integrity, management and interpretation throughout the business through on going engagement with relevant stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting

Drive alignment of all reporting throughout the business;
Develop custom reports according to business/business unit requirements;
Report writing, analysis and generation;
Provide support to all management, enabling the use of graphics and data analytics in monthly and annual reports;
Input to EXCO, REMCO, Audit and Risk, Board, Social and Ethics and Sustainability reports;

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Ensure continuous improvement of compliance processes, policy and procedure by suggesting tools that enhance compliance.


Technical

Building of complex Excel databases including data collection, validation and management;
Streamlining data collection and data interrogation/visualisation methods;
Maintaining, editing and modifying existing databases and reports;
Check all data sources for duplication/accuracy;
Design and create automated data visualisation tools including dashboards and info graphics;
Analyse derived information to create value;
Ability to reconcile figures and facts using analytical thinking and techniques;
Mapping business flows and process diagrams;
Continuously identify opportunities to optimize and automate processes;
Advisory role to Business on best data practice;

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS

Head office based position, however there may be times when travel to areas or countries where Fraser Alexander operates if necessary;
Must be accessible after hours.


EXPERIENCE

6 to 8 years data management experience preferably in the mining industry.


QUALIFICATIONS

A relevant technical qualification or equivalent;
Further education in business process and data visualisation will be advantageous.
