PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Responsible for the academic leadership, management and promotion of the academic programme nationally, ensuring a high level of service to students, quality programme delivery and adherence to the institutional and regulatory standards and policies.

JOB SPECIFICATION :
•Honours Degree in Sound Engineering or related qualification is required.
•Completed or studying towards a Masters Degree in Sound Engineering or related qualification would be ideal.
•Five years industry and/or three years lecturing experience
•Possess specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop teaching and/or research programmes and the provision of learning support.
•Team player who is flexible/adaptable
•Strong leadership qualities, passionate about education and student development
•Time management skills - ability to follow and meet institutional and departmental deadlines.
•Organisational and administrative skills
•Strong communication skills
•Ability to assist remotely
•Understanding of the various quality control councils
•Technical skills required by the module assigned
•Active participant in own professional development including awareness of requirements set out by quality councils, institutional standards
•Involvement in professional, national and international bodies/boards that are related to his/her discipline expertise
•In-depth knowledge of and commitment to educational principles and quality assurance practices
•The ability to manage staff in a tertiary environment.
•Understanding of current trends and best practices in education
