Introduction
We are seeking an organised and analytical Data Scientist to join our Data team. The successful candidate will be division responsible for:

•Applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products and services using specific data science toolkits and visualisation tools
•Leveraging close, collaborative working relationships with teams and applying data mining techniques to a wide array of problems

Specification
Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Finance
•Developing opportunities regarding cost saving techniques and or processes using data analytics
•Discovering new opportunities to optimize the business through data mining and analytics in relation to cost savings
•Building predictive models to assist with budgeting and forecasting in relation to sales (revenue) and claims
•Proactively identifying potential financial risk and ensures measures are taken to manage that risk
•Using predictive modelling to increase and optimize revenue generation.

Conduct
•Mining and analysing data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies
•Developing custom data models and algorithms to apply data sets
•Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
•Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.

Customer
•Using predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences Ensuring data model accuracy across various customer domains
•Developing and leveraging cooperative stakeholder relationships and networks
•Researching, designing and implementing best practice customer service solutions
•Identifying opportunities to develop statistical models, and data-driven analyses to drive sales and service efforts around client needs.
•Developing KPI dashboards for internal and external clients.

People
•Working closely with data delivery teams to ensure channel contention, data overlaps and closed loop processes are managed effectively
•Working with the business to identify information needs and develop reporting; primary requirements include the management team, finance, and operations
•Effectively communicating verbal and written skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills and demonstrated analytical competencies
•Communicating to other divisions in the organization to deliver a stable and highly available reporting platform
Requirements
•A BEng in Industrial Engineering or BSc Engineering in Information Engineering
•Diploma in any machine learning techniques, algorithms, data science toolkits, visualisation tools and SQL are preferred
•A minimum of 3 to 5 years of data mining and analysis and predictive model building in preferably the automotive or insurance industry
•A minimum of 3 years' experience on the following systems: Alteryx, R, Tableau, Qlikview, Qliksense, MS SQL - SSIS, SSRS and SSAS
•Qualified Data Scientist in an Insurance Company or OEM would be advantageous.
