We are seeking an honest and self-motivated Regional Manager to join our Dealer Sales team in Kwazulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be division responsible for:
•Growing the Dealer Revenue portfolio by driving and implementing new business, develop and retain current business and maintain solid business relationships with clients at all levels.
•Ensuring the growth and sustained profits are achieved through existing sales revenues by upselling, cross-selling and new dealer acquisition.
•Ensuring that all business conducted complies with all South African and corporate regulatory requirement
Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Plan and formulate annual budgets and forecasts and oversee overall financial management, systems, and cost controls including cash flow management
•Ensure regional sales financial objectives are met by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
•Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
•Maximize sales effort and ensure that continuous growth and sustained profits are achieved and exceeded.
•Sustain client satisfaction at all client levels.
•Present to and consult with mid and senior level dealer management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
•Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
•Discuss monthly and quarterly sales and profitability and claims dashboards with clients at all levels.
•Identify trends by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
•Ensure compliance with all legal / statutory & group requirements.
•Ensure compliance to operational procedures and controls for service transactions; Information systems procedures and financial management controls.
•Ensure that the Divisional activities are coherent with Treating Customers Fairly operational deliverables of Corporate Sales
•Accomplish regional sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees in assigned districts; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
•Work with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
•Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
•Contribute to a rewarding working environment for all parties dealing with you, offer skills, knowledge and advice in order to receive.
•Grade 12 or equivalent
•A formal qualification in sales and marketing
•Degree/Diploma or Equivalent NQF Level 6/7 Qualifications in Business Management/Marketing/Sales will be advantageous
•Must have minimum of 5 years in a sales management role
•A minimum of 5 years' experience in the automotive industry, with a background in financial services particularly in the value-added product space.
•Budgetary control and cost accounting experience
•Strategic planning and resource allocation
•Knowledge of sales principles
•Technical product knowledge of Passenger and Commercial vehicles
•Knowledge Legislation (Compulsory specifications, FAIS, FICA, POPI and NCA)
•Basic Finance and Legal industry knowledge (desirable)
•Computer Literacy: MS Office Suite
