MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Aligned to group strategy, the Executive Dean is responsible for the General Management of the Academic Portfolio of the Educor business. Through the provision of strong academic operational acumen and management, the Executive Dean drives Integrated Quality Enhancement throughout the group’s academic structures and staffing while assuming responsibility for Academic Governance; Programme and Institutional Accreditation; Regulatory Compliance; Curriculum Development and Delivery; Teaching and Learning; and Student Retention and Success at brand level. The Executive Dean leads a team of Deans across all aspects of Faculty and Programme Development; Teaching and Learning; Research and Institutional Planning; and in so doing manages the tactical implementation of academic strategy at each brand. The Executive Dean is a member of the Educor Executive Committee and reports into the Group Chief Academic Officer.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
PhD or Doctorate in Education
A minimum of 10 Years’ Experience in Higher Education at a Management Level
Proven Academic Operational Management Acumen
Experience in academic strategic planning and execution
Experience in formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
Experience in the design, development and accreditation of new programmes
In depth knowledge of Education and Training legislature framework
Experience in dealing with regulatory affairs and academic quality assurance processes within a higher education environment.
A proven teaching and research portfolio with curriculum development and assessment design experience.
Risk management, communication and business acumen skills
High level of competency in MS Offices, particularly Word, Excel
