MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Dean of Faculty is the academic head of a faculty and as such provides academic leadership and accountability for a set of programmes within the faculty and its associated schools and departments at brand level. The Dean is responsible for the quality assurance of all qualifications, short learning programmes and skills courses offered by and conferred through that faculty. This includes programme development and curriculum review; assessments and moderation; prescribed texts; as well as effective delivery of the curriculum at site level. The role encompasses academic governance, strategic input into the faculty as well as scholarship within the academic faculty team.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
1.PhD or Doctorate required in the cognate subject field of Faculty
2.At least five years at Senior Lecturer level or above in higher education
3.At least three years high-level Academic Management experience
4.A proven teaching and research portfolio with curriculum development and assessment design experience.
5.Experience in dealing with regulatory affairs and academic quality assurance processes within a higher education environment.
