Specification
Achieve sales targets

• Set and review targets on a monthly basis:
• Consult with VSAM’s on sales strategy plan
• Set realistic targets monthly in accordance with sales strategy
• Setting or modification of sales / other KPI targets

Manage achievement of sales targets on a monthly basis:

• Manage attainment of weekly and monthly targets of department in accordance with the business
• Provide staff with a suitable database to utilise and achieve sales targets
• Monitor individual statistics on a daily basis
•Identify campaign weaknesses and strengths (using KPI tracker and other feedback from agents)
• Take over and modify issues that may arise from campaign mismanagement or other reasons

Manage the utilisation of data and leads on a monthly basis:

• Ensure that data and leads are effectively and efficiently utilised by VSAM’S
• Order new data within specified time-frames according to internal requirements
• Check product competitiveness (pricing and offering)
• Establish, build and maintain client relationships

• Establish, build and maintain daily relationship with stakeholders
• Resolve escalated queries received via e-mail or telephonic immediately or within 24 hours with the assistance of the VSAM’S
• Schedule daily, weekly and or monthly meetings

Manage Staff

• Manage the overall performance and effectiveness of the department on a daily basis
• Succession planning
• Identify training / coaching needs
• Control the quality of service provided to clients on a daily basis:
•Telephone etiquette
•Quality of information exchanged
•Quality of correspondence according to internal standards
•Ensure that staff adhere to and meet the quality assurance standards at all times
•Ensure CRM system is developed and managed according to business requirements at all times
•Recruit, select and appoint staff according to internal procedures
•Conduct quarterly performance appraisals according to internal standards within 5 working days before the deadline and actions should be taken as per the agreed outcome.
•Ensure skills / knowledge gaps identified and are addressed on a quarterly basis
•Identify staff that require mentoring/coaching on a monthly basis
•Performance manage staff that are not performing according to their agreed KPA’s
•Ensure at all times to act with the best interests of the client and company at heart and to act within the boundaries set by legislation and the business partners
•Ensure effective implementation of Performance Management by spot checking
•Spot check that all team leader admin has been checked and processed
•Meet with staff on an ongoing basis to:
- Address their concerns
- Keep motivation levels high
- Promote teamwork
- Provide feedback on latest changes / information
Requirements
Qualifications:

Matric / Senior Certificate or equivalent
Relevant degree / diploma
RE and FAIS qualifications (advantageous)

Experience:

Experience as a sales manager or similar position in the telecommunications industries (at least 5 years)
Proven track record of experience
