Specification
Key Responsibilities

Keeps contracts organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring Head of Legal and Contract calendars; meeting deadlines; inputting information into file database.
Provide administrative support to Head of Legal and Legal Advisor and enhance effectiveness of legal department
Locate and develop case relevant information
Type up and file legal and/or general documents and correspondence
File, organize, scan, copy and fax documents.
Maintain contact lists externally and internally
Monitor and meet deadlines
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements
Minimum qualification/Requirements

5-10 years’ proven working experience as legal assistant or legal secretary
Familiarity with law, legal procedures, legal documents and terminology
Proficient Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficiency in English
Typing speed of at least 50wpm with a high rate of accuracy
Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
Reporting and Research skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent secretarial and organisational skills
Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
Courteous manner and professional demeanour
Strong sense of discretion and maintaining confidentiality
Dependability
Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary certification or diploma
Ability to format legal documents
