MotoVantage, formed through a partnership between FirstRand Group and The Hollard Insurance Company, brings you innovative vehicle insurance products at competitive prices as add-ons to any finance agreement. We are seeking to recruit a Developer (Leads) within our Pricing & Analytics Department.

We are looking for a .Net developer to build software using languages (C#) and technologies of the .NET framework. You will create applications from scratch, configure existing systems and provide user support.
In this role, you should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects. If you are also passionate about the .NET framework and software design/architecture, we’d like to meet you.
Your goal will be to work with internal teams to design, develop and maintain software.


•Participate in requirements analysis
•Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
•Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages (C#, .NET)
•Test and deploy applications and systems
•Revise, update/upgrade, refactor and debug code
•Improve existing software
•Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
•Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
•Leads Management;
oImport multiple files off the various MFT/SFTP sites
oUpdate leads rules across campaigns as per findings from analysis
oSend weekly second phase lead files for Sanction screening and to call centres after screening
oDistribute leads to internal and external sales call centres (new business, renewals aligned to partner requirements and compliance)
oUpdate and modify current processes to align with the changing needs of business.
oAd hoc queries relating to leads
oOverall support the analytics team and other teams in the company based on requirements and availability
oGeneral ad hoc queries from business


•Adhering to the Code of Ethics and related policies, including personal account dealing, gifts, inside information, etc.
•Ensuring Compliance forms and declarations are completed and returned on a timely basis
•Ensuring timely completion of Compliance training
•Reporting any possible and actual breaches, errors, or complaints

•Degree in Computer Science / Information systems
•2-3 years working experience (Insurance environment will serve as an advantage)
•Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer

•Microsoft Office, Windows
•Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))
•Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3
•Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
•Data visualization
