Introduction
IT TECHNICIAN
(Finance & Business Support Unit)
(Permanent position based in WWF-SA Head office in Newlands, Cape Town)

Specification
Responsibilities:

•Desktop support:
oHardware, Software & User support
oInstalling and configuring new hardware and software.
oHelpdesk support: Logging, addressing, escalating and troubleshooting any reported problems.
Answering technical queries and dealing with users.
oApplying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
oProvide support for scheduled resource usage i.e. Video Conferencing, Voice recorders, conference phone etc.
oRemote support for Satellite users and offices

•Server support:
oUser and Group maintenance: Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
oAdministrate server folder and service access security.
oResponsibility for documenting the configuration of the system.
oAnalyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
oApplying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
oIntroducing and integrating new technologies into existing server environment
oSystem performance tuning
oApplying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
oHyper V management & Symantec Backup Exec management
oPerforming Daily backups.
oCloud Administrator- Dropbox for Business, Google Suite, Office 365 & Oracle Netsuite

•Communications infrastructure support:
oAdministrate Voice (Mitel PABX), Data(Internet Connectivity) and Video Communication/Conferencing systems
•Printer & copier support.
•Performing routine audits of systems and software.
•Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running
•IT Asset database maintenance and upkeep
•IT audit - Procurement, audit of systems and software licensing
•Remote support to employees in regional office, travelling and working from home
•Managing calls logged with 3rd party service providers
Requirements
Requirements:

•Qualification: MCSE, MCITP and/or ITIL V3
•2-3 years working experience in a Microsoft Server 2008/2012 environment
•Active directory, Group policy experience essential
•Sharepoint 2013, Office 365, Google Apps for Business, Pastel, Zoom and VIP server experience advantageous
•User technical support experience
•Ability to work under pressure
•Ability to multi task
•Good general administrative skills
•Good communication & interpersonal skills
•Good time management skills
