The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Managing Executive. This position’s primary responsibility is planning, implementing, managing and controlling all Quality and Regulatory functions activities of the Food Safety Division.

Job Responsibilities:

•Research and development of chemical formulations
•Current formulation evaluations on current products
•Quarterly supplier audits
•Compiling product files for clients
•Datasheet updated in ileader and Website /external customers
•Review SOPs for the chemical division
•Developing training material modules for the Division
•Maintain data sheets and labels for current and new products
•Complete NCRs and investigations
•Take responsibility for Legislative requirements
•Manage Customer queries
•Responsible for the weekly and monthly report
•Take responsibility for the Sales reports of each customer
•Manage content development for the Chemical division and marketing
•Coordinate New product trials
•Test method validations
•Liaising with labs and manage progress with Chemical Development
•General administration

Job Requirement:

•BSc Qualification
•Food Technology or Microbiology certificate or diploma - advantageous
•Must be willing to travel monthly to Johannesburg
•Knowledge of international ISO Standards
•MUST be able to implement QMS and manage Change Control
•Strong leadership ability with middle to senior management experience working with multi-cultural/ multi-faceted reporting structures
•At least 3 years experience in Chemical Industry
•Experience in on-site training of large groups of people
•Hours of work are not restricted to normal working hours - must have the ability to work additional hours and be flexible with working hours as requested.
•Travelling will be essential to this position (valid driver’s License)
•Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word and Excel.
•Experience in the Cleaning and sanitation would be advantageous ( Chemical industry)
