Introduction
Mining Services is currently seeking for an IR Officer. The role is focused on providing a dedicated IR support to the Construction & Mining Business Unit. This is an opportunity for an Industrial Relations Practitioner to ensure compliance with IR policies and procedures, handling grievances and disciplinary inquiries, guiding supervisors in IR Matters and representing the company at the CCMA.

Handling Grievances and Disciplinary proceedings.

Attending Commission of Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration / Bargaining Council proceedings on behalf of the company.

Attending Union meetings,

Compiling absenteeism reports and monthly IR Reporting.

Conducting IR Audits and Strike Handling.

Requirements
Industrial Relations Diploma or Certificate will be an advantage.

A Minimum of 5 years’ experience as IR Practitioner in a construction/Opencast mining environment is essential.

Extensive Knowledge w.r.t Labour Relations Act (Act 66 of 1995).

Basic conditions of Employment Act (Act 75 of 1997)

Unemployment Insurance Act (Act 30 of 1996), Skills Development Act (Act 97 of 1998), and Employment Equity Act (Act 55 of 1998)
