Introduction
To manage the daily operations of the debtors and financial operations department within the Finance Division. To ensure the chosen strategy is implemented within the departments under mandate and provide input into the overall strategy of the division.

Key Performance Areas

Debtors Management
•Ensuring the effective operations of the debtors department
•Quality assuring the standards of work executed by the debtors team
•Investigating and resolving escalated queries received from the debtors clerks
•Reviewing and sign-off on all payments captured by the debtors clerks
•Maintaining the Accounts Receivable Module within Accpac
•Reviewing workflows and communicating and/or implementing changes
•Communicating timelines to team and ensure deliverables are met
•Ensuring compliance with debtors procedures, processes, systems and cash flow management
•Providing invoicing and proof of payments to Client Relationship Management Department as per set SLA’s

Financials Operations Management
•Ensuring the effective operations of the financial operations department
•Quality assuring the standards of work executed by the financial operations team
•Assisting the financial operations team with escalated queries
•Delegating and assigning helpdesk queries to financial operations clerks
•Communicating helpdesk timelines to team and ensuring that deliverables are met
•Allocating Trust Accounts to the financial operations team
•Communicating reconciliation (BFC’s) timelines on Trust Accounts to team and ensuring deliverables are met
•Communicating monthly targets on set suspense allocations to team and ensure targets are met
•Overseeing the uploading of the External Debt Collectors (EDC) files on a monthly basis

Relationship Management
•Generating weekly Age Analysis Report for the Client Relationship Management Department
•Investigating non-payment identified on the Age Analysis Report and communicate with the

Client Relationship Management Department in order to resolve
•Representing the Finance Department at the Client Relationship Management Department briefing sessions to resolve queries for new and existing clients
•Setting up and maintaining the client invoicing on internal Collections system i.e. Cheetah
•Ensuring all queries received from the Client Relationship Management Department are resolved timeously
•Ensure that remittances are obtained from client and allocated timeously

Reporting
•Ensuring month-end invoicing and pay overs are completed and reported on timeously
•Ensuring month-end revenue provisions and supporting documentation are provided to the reporting teams as per agreed deadlines
•Compiling weekly Age Analysis reports
•Compiling weekly Financial Operations reports
•Ensuring monthly General Ledger (GL) reconciliations are completed and reported on timeously
•Ensuring accurate records are maintained for Audit purposes

People Management
•Providing support and assistance to staff by conducting team meetings to address issues raised
•Providing performance feedback to staff
•Managing the staffs time and attendance and take appropriate disciplinary action where necessary
Requirements
Required Minimum Education / Training
•BCom with specialisation in Finance or BCompt Degree (Honours preferable)
•Proficient in MS Office packages i.e. Ms Word, Excel, Outlook
•Accpac knowledge (essential)

Required Minimum Work Experience
•2 - 4 years financial management experience (Trust Account experience added advantage)
