We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities. They will be responsible for preserving the good condition and safety of our head office building and contents, as well as to ensure that all services and facilities are well-functioning.
The facilities manager will be responsible for leading a team of employees, managing building contractors and working with third-party vendors. They will be accountable for building & grounds maintenance, security, cleaning, health & safety, fixed asset management, procurement, staff refreshments, reception, mail room, company vehicles, budgets and reports, as well as related policies & procedures.
The ideal applicant will have:
• Matric and related courses / studies • 3 years or more management or similar facilities experience • Excellent people leadership skills • Valid driver’s licence • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Above average computer literacy (MS Office) • Ability to work under constant, unplanned pressure and be deadline orientated • Ability to build relationships and negotiate with suppliers/contractors • Work with minimum supervision, be proactive and have initiative.
