NACOSA is looking for a suitably qualified candidate within South Africa for the position of Clinical Linkage Officer to support various programmes focused on the wellbeing of orphans and vulnerable children in the Western Cape.
The key performance areas include:
-Serve as the main liaison between the organization and key external clinical stakeholders (including the Department of Health Western Cape, City of Cape Town, and other non-profit organisations)
-Understand the clinical imperatives of the programme, and serve as a link with external partners in the various districts to support these clinical targets
-Advocate for the value the OVC programme and reaching the 90-90-90 strategy has for facilities and stakeholders
-Work with the Programme Manager and Capacity Building Manager of NACOSA, to identify and respond to training needs, technical assistance, and capacity strengthening, and facilitate capacity building initiatives
-Ensure participation of project partners in relevant coordination meetings at the district and provincial levels
-Ensuring adherence to technical standards, best practices, and donor guidelines
-Contribute to key program reporting deliverables, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required
Required qualifications, skills and experience
-Nursing degree or diploma
-Proof of registration with the South African Nursing Council
-At least 3 years’ experience working within programmes focussed on the welfare of vulnerable children and youth
-Sound understanding of Department of Health and City of Cape Town Health systems and processes, and familiar with clinical processes and procedures in this regard
-Abreast on the developments within HIV/AIDS, with an understanding of the 90-90-90 Strategy
-Excellent communication skills
-Excellent Relationship building and networking skills
-Own driver’s license and willing to travel for work
