Introduction
The core purpose of the role is to deliver support to end users in the organization on how to use various types of software applications efficiently and effectively in fulfilling business objectives. This includes troubleshooting applications and software as per received requests for all internal customers and functions which may be applicable across multiple business units. The incumbent is also responsible for contributing to the design, testing, delivery, and improvement of software applications.

Specification
1.Provide support on software applications by fielding incoming tickets from end-users

2.Monitor and improve support process effectiveness by creating and deploying feedback mechanisms for end-users, analising results and implementing approppriate changes

3.Monitor, document and communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.

4.Enhance end-user effectiveness by implementing training on the software applications used in the organisation and maintaning own expertise in these applications.

5.Continuous monitoring and support the roll out of group wide IT initiatives

6.Assist in designing, delivery and improvement of software applications, including testing new and existing software applications under development or consideration for purchase

7.Ensure the implementation of all internal policies, processes and quality standards.

8.Create and manage constructive relationships witrh internal and external customers – this includes Developers, BI, Infrastructure team, procurement, software vendors, consulting firms and software development vendors

9.Manage service providers who provde a second line support service

10. Ensure that all reports and administrative documents are completed as agreed. This includes, incident reports, status updates, resource scheduling and monthly reports.
Requirements
•Degree in computer science/Information Systems/Supply Chain Management/Industrial Engineering
•Business Analysis qualification
•Honours degree
•Project Management
•Lean certification
•Software applications used and supported by the organization.
•2-3 years in IT application support
•Engaging supervisory and Middle management level
•Experience in working in Supply Chain and Logistics industry
•ITIL (Information technology infrastructure library)
•Helpdesk application
•Systems development lifecycle
•Software applications used and supported by the organization.
•Well-developed communication skills to persuade and influence
•Written reasoning skills and explain complex concepts in non-technical language.
