Introduction

Botswana Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA) is a Parastatal under the Ministry of Investment Trade and Industry (MITI). It was established in 2015 through the 2015 Special Economic Zones Act of Parliament and institutionalised in 2018. The Organisation is responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of activities related to the establishment and development of Special Economic Zones (SEZ).

Main Purpose of the Job
To undertake investor appraisal duties in accordance with the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) investor licensing procedures in line with the SEZ Regulations..

Key Result Areas:
•Reports to the Investor Facilitation Directorate to execute investor appraisal and approval duties;
•Appraises SEZ investor licensing applications and undertakes due diligence on potential investors to assess adherence to licensing requirements for final consideration and approval;
•Processes investor license applications in accordance with SEZA governance and decision-making processes;
•Supports the Investor Attraction Directorate in providing clarity regarding investor appraisal and approval processes;
•Facilitates support to SEZ Investors during the investor appraisal process.
•Supports potential investors and stakeholders to understand the investor licensing eligibility criteria and appraisal processes;
•Appraises and recommends for approval, suitable local companies and service providers to supply goods and relevant services to SEZ anchor Investors.

Requirements
Qualification and Experience
A degree in Economics, Business Management or related discipline. The incumbent must have at least six to eight years of post-graduate experience in a business analysis/management role preferably in FDI, Domestic Investment Agency or similar environment. Experience in Structured or Corporate financing will be an added advantage.
