Role Purpose
The purpose of the Financial Manager role is to assist the Group Financial Manager with Group Reporting, taxation, alignment of policies and procedures, operational financial functions. The financial manager will also be responsible for the day to day financial operations and reporting activities of 4 subsidiary companies and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures. The role also requires meaningful analysis and feedback on actual, forecast and budgeted figures to the Finance Manager: Group and the General Manager: Financial Reporting a in both written and verbal form. The FM will be required to liaise with internal and external auditors as primary contact point and drafting the workings for review regarding the Group IFRS 17 Insurance assessment. The role requires an individual who is self-motivated, deadline driven with technically sound knowledge of the IFRS Reporting Standards. The person must have excellent communication skills, be adaptable to changes in a growing organisation and comfortable with a manual reporting environment.

Role Outputs
The role entails:
•Preparation of monthly group as well as 4 HFM reporting packs (both actual and forecasts)
•Review of subsidiaries monthly HFM packs (both actual and forecast)
•Ensuring all journals are approved, posted and reconciliations reviewed
•Approval of new creditors and invoices related to monthly expenses
•Release of payments relating to monthly creditors
•Monthly management of the fixed asset process relating to the tax book, run depreciation, review of the fixed asset register and checks performed between subledger and trial balances.
•Drafting and collating of responses for monthly movements to WesBank and FM
•Reviewing responses to FirstRand Tax before submission
•Documentation and collating of information regarding IFRS 17-Insurance contracts impact to MotoVantage Group
•Aligning recon framework for the Group to FirstRand framework
•Providing monthly comprehensive analysis and feedback on individual company as well as the group’s financial performance to the Group FM and General Manager: Financial Reporting
•Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial management reports
•Assist with the compilation of group Annual Financial Statements;
•Review of all subsidiary Annual Financial Statements;
•Coordination of the group audits and compiling of audit files;
•Assist with managing and preparation of annual group budgets
•Ensure that financial records are in line and updated with Full IFRS requirements;
•Management of 4 direct reports;
•Preparation, review and ensuring timely and accurate submission of group tax returns and payments (Income tax and VAT) and
•Management of the Groups fleet card process and reconciliations
•Submission of the yearly insurance for the group
•Management of the Group credit cards and allocation of transaction on a monthly basis.
•Ad-hoc duties as and when required

•CA (SA) from Big 4 audit firms
•First time pass for Board I and II

Knowledge and Experience
•Technically strong with IFRS Standards
•Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
•Post articles experience is an advantage
•IFRS 4 Insurance contract experience
•Experience in using HFM reporting is an advantage
•Experience in using Oracle Financials is an advantage
