Role Purpose

The purpose of the Management accountant role is provide insight into the business’s financial performance by looking at key indicators such as profitability and cost management. The incumbent will be required to obtain a thorough understanding of the business in order to find the necessary data and information to use in financial models and analysis. The incumbent will then be required to present this analysis either verbally or in writing as well as make recommendations to business and/or their direct line manager.

Role Outputs

The role entails:
•Performing analysis of financial information and other business management information in order to provide feedback or recommendations to business and/or the direct line manager.
•Developing various financial models for forecasting, cost analysis and profitability by using business management information and financial information
•Developing and maintaining activity based view of the cost base of the organisation
•Performing variance and trend analysis on budgets, forecasts as well as actual financial information and providing feedback and recommendations
•Working closely with the Pricing and Analytics team as well as Product Development team in order to provide computations and input into product pricing
•Providing analysis and making recommendations on the group's treasury and cash management process
•Developing various reports for automation
•Developing Excel based tools that will assist business with day-to-day activities
•Developing detailed and routine work processes and controls
•Drafting of monthly reports and analysis
•Preparation of presentations
•Other ADHOC duties as required
