Introduction
The Company seeks the services of a Clinical Officer who will be reporting to the Project Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high standard medical care to mine employees, their dependents and the community at large, including cancelling patients as well as participating in the control and prevention of diseases/ Epidemics, while working within the framework of Mopani Copper Mines Plc Operations.

Specification
1.Diploma in Clinical Medical Services.
2.Must be a member of Health Professional Council of Zambia
3.At least 5 years’ experience as a Clinical Officer.
4.Must have high ethical standards
Requirements
1.See, interview and examine patients to reach a provisional diagnosis. Investigate symptoms especially related to the diagnosis and institute treatment.
2.See patients in whatever state they come and institute emergency treatment in life threatening cases and inform MO/Specialist. Carry out everything medically required to sustain life before senior support arrives.
3.Perform minor surgery, Drainages, Orthopaedic manipulations of fractures, suturing of wounds, Intercostal drainages etc.
4.Do outpatient screening from Hospital and township clinics.
5.Provide basic information concerning HIV and any outbreaks to clients.
6.Orient other health care workers on latest treatment guidelines and compile Health related reports..
7.Provide supervision to the assigned clinic.
8.Performance duties with a degree of cost effective management by using the least expensive, high efficient treatment therapies, modification to standard equipment and improvising where necessary to maintain costs within budget.
