Our company is currently seeking a Financial Controller to join our growing team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for the efforts and results of the finance department. He/she will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in regards to all financial and accounting activities, as well as overseeing the finance department’s staff in day-to-day operations.

Key elements of the role:
Financial Control & Accounting Operations
•Support the CFO in developing and delivering the Organization’s Financial and Business strategy.
•Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and FRCN applicable local regulations.
•Prepare or direct Preparation and ensure Accuracy of Monthly & Quarterly Management Reports with KPI’s/Business Commentaries & Financial Statements (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cashflows) in line with IFRS for Nigerian entities.
•Timely delivery of Company Accounts & Audited Financial Statements.
•Lead the Financial Control/Accounting Operations team in delivering (Management & Statutory Reporting, Treasury, Revenue Assurance & Finance Ops, Account Payables, Account Receivables, Inventory Control, Fixed Asset Management, Managing Debt Obligations, Month Close and Monthly reconciliations)
•Update, review and document the Organization’s financial policies and procedures.
•Developing a Financial Control environment that ensures accuracy of all Financial Information Across the Business.
•Working with Internal Audit/Control to deliver a proper internal control environment for the company.
•Expense Management & Budgetary Controls.
•Providing adequate Finance Business & Financial Advisory to the Business.
•Supporting the Tax Manager in the delivery of Tax planning, Compliance, Documentation needed to close Tax Audits.
•Support the delivery of Annual Budgeting & Quarterly Forecast
•Ensure Proper Filing and Documentation of All Financial information
•Ensure Optimal Use of Financial Systems for data capture & Reporting
Desired Skills & Experience :
•Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Related Field
•8 - 10 years of experience with at least 4 years in an Audit firm and at least 2 years leading a Financial Control/Accounting in a Retail
Organization or in a similar role or FMCG.
•Must be ICAN/ACCA certified
•Use of Accounting Software experience in ERP (Microsoft Suite – NAV or AX dynamics)
