The incumbent will report to the Financial Manager and Financial Director and will be responsible for a broad range of accounting duties.
Job Functions Accounting
Industries Agriculture,Energy,Ngo / Non-Profit
•Preparation of statutory financial statements for 5 Associated Trusts up to and including the Balance Sheet, Income and Cash Flow Statements, with supporting working papers and schedules.
•Liaise with external Auditors.
•Preparation of quarterly management reports for Trusts
•Assist the Financial Manager and Financial Director with the annual budgets where requested
•Import yearly budgets onto Oracle NetSuite
•Update cashbook and process bank transactions and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
•Maintaining Fixed Assets register
•Processing month end journals
•Processing monthly investment journals per investment statements
•Validate and manage correctness of debtors and creditor accounts
•Validate balances of trial balance on a monthly basis
•Monitor the accuracy of all reports generated by Oracle NetSuite
•Prepare and upload EFT suppliers payments
•Monitor bank balances to ensure sufficient cash flows.
•Associated statutory duties such as the completion of VAT, STATSA report and income tax returns.
•Process 18A certificates and ensure the correct appliance of 18A certificate according organization tax exemption policy
•Purging of Financial year data on Oracle NetSuite
•Reconciliation of loan accounts between WWF and the Associated Trusts
•Maintain and update project-related financial records
•Ad hoc reporting for external stakeholders
•Assist Financial Manager and Financial Director with ad-hoc financial reports/requests as required.

Other Accounting functions:

•Assist with the other financial functions within the financial division
•Daily approval of Accounts payable payments
•Update financial reports periodically to systems
•Assist Financial Manager and Financial Director with ad-hoc financial reports/requests as required.
•Maintain/Monitor Oracle NetSuite project, grant and reporting function
•Financial/Accounting diploma or degree
•5 years’ experience as an Accountant
•Familiarity with Oracle / SAP / Oracle's NetSuite is essential
•Computer literate: MS Outlook, Word and Excel intermediate level
•Accurate and strong attention to detail
•Deadline driven and able to manage conflicting deadlines
•Ability to work under pressure
•Good interpersonal skills
•Team player
•Positive attitude and willing to share and develop skills further
