•Ensure that stock and shipments are received and checked as to confirm that the product, product code or part numbers are correct according to the relevant documentation.
•Ensure warehouse stock is replenished on a daily basis.
•Ensure that the shop is replenished and that items are rotated from the warehouse to the shop and vice versa on a monthly basis.
•Supervise receiving staff
•Supervise the receiving of all local and overseas shipments
•Ensure correct off-loading and unpacking of all goods based on necessary documentation
•Assist in the warehouse if and when required
•Operation of forklift if and when required
•Ensure correct allocation of received stock into picking zone or bulk
•Ensure replenishing of picking zone
•Ensure correction of stock discrepancies when necessary within specified time limits
•Report low stock levels to superior and / or purchasing department
•Ensures that receiving and dispatch details are recorded, invoiced and completed.
•Ensure that stock take preparations are done accurately and according to the warehouse requirements.
•Ensure that the warehouse department is kept in good order and is clean and tidy at all times according to warehouse requirements.
•Assist in general duties if and when required by the Company.
•Grade 12 or equivalent
•5 years logistics or warehouse experience
•Forklift driver’s license
•Problem solving skills
•Planning and organizing skills
•Working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word and Outlook)
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
•Must be able to work overtime if and when required (during month ends and stock take).
