Introduction
The position of Business Manager reports to the Chief Operating Officer and requires extensive interaction with all senior managers within the organisation.
The primary aim is to support the overall business strategy and execution of initiatives within the organisation by managing all strategic projects as well as overseeing and
reporting on all projects within Milpark Education. The Business Manager will elicit, analyse and specify requirements to solve business challenges. The analyses generated
will help drive corporate strategy, revenue and operational efficiencies.

Preference will be given to applicants from designated groups, and appointments will be made in line with our EE requirements.

Specification
Strategic:

•Support the overall business strategy and successful implementation of key initiatives

•To manage the forums for the identification and prioritisation of new projects into strategic and operational projects

•Prepare business reviews for the institution in order to aid business decisions

•Liaise with department heads and keep relevant parties informed of management reporting issues and updates on initiatives

•Lead and manage process and content of regular business reviews

•Monitor and track execution against company metrics

Operational:

•To ensure that all new projects identified have gone through the project initiation phase which includes understanding and documenting the purpose of the project, the scope of the project, the
business case for the project and project sign off by the senior team

•To work with project owners to ensure that structures are put in place to setup and track any new or existing projects

•To document the project plan with timelines, milestones and interdependencies

•To ensure that the processes for project initiation are consistently applied across Milpark


General :

•To work with project owners of operational projects and track projects in terms of the initial plan and report any deviances from those plans to senior management

•To maintain an issues and risk log for all projects currently being undertaken

•To attend and record minutes of meetings for projects throughout their lifecycle

•To record and share the benefits tracking for projects

• To ensure that projects are signed off appropriately and with a post implementation review to document and share any lessons to be learnt from the process

•The development of business cases, feasibility studies and options appraisals for OD projects

•Support the business with implementing and managing regulatory projects

•Ensure continual monitoring of regulatory changes that impact the sustainability of the organisation

•Document business processes in compliance with governance processes

•Contribute to the successful deployment of compliance policies

Stakeholder Relations:

•To provide accurate information relating to the status, risks and other issues relating to existing projects

•To ensure communication is open, relevant and prevalent with all project owners

•Colleagues are supported and information is shared between Milpark divisions

•Develop sound relations with internal customers and promote trust and confidence towards the department
Requirements
Requirements:

•A Bachelors' in the field of Business Science or similar

•Business Analysis certification (advantageous)

•A minimum of 5 years' experience within a similar role
