The ideal candidate will investigate, develop and lead initiatives to build new business for the company.

In addition, the successful candidate will be fully responsible for developing, leading and delivering the PAXI strategy as part of the overall business strategy.
PAXI is a store to store parcel delivery service that allows consumers to send and collect parcels at over 2000 PAXI collection points.

Specification
Determine and execute the company’s PAXI Strategy
Responsible for the overall operational management and performance of PAXI
Research, identify and develop new business opportunities
Understand the needs of the customer and translate this to value adding products and services
Determine solutions together with our technical team
Present detailed business cases to the executive team
Execute on approved business plans and strategy
Manage projects from inception to execution
Collaborate and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Conclude commercial and contractual negotiations
Requirements
Business related qualification at a tertiary level
Prior experience as business development manager
Experience in the Fintech space
Retail experience will be advantages
Minimum 6 years senior management experience required
Strong financial acumen and data analysis skills
Ability to leverage data and financial analysis to understand problems, identify options, inform decisions and drive targeted outcomes
A good understanding of IT systems and digital platforms
Good judgment, together with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
The ability to influence across various levels and functions within the business
The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within, as well as outside the company
Experience in managing projects end to end
Competent at operating independently
A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
Willingness to get involved operationally
Ability to work under pressure in a target driven environment
Excellent interpersonal, people management, team management & leadership skills
Emotional maturity & resilience and a positive can-do attitude
