To take responsibility for the overall management, optimization, repairs, maintenance and acquisition of all medical/clinical equipment in accordance with the requirements of business units/hospitals.
•Perform repairs, modifications and installations on equipment and system installations as per the procedures that comply with standards and recommendations of governing agencies as well as legal requirements.
•Ensure that all job requests are attended to in the most efficient way and completed in the shortest timeframe, with good quality results and minimal waste – right first-time round.
•Ensure that all preventative maintenance tasks are completed according to the schedule ensuring that all checks are made thoroughly, and all problems are clearly reported on the checklist.
•Ensure that asset verification is conducted twice annually (6 monthly).
•Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•Ensure that permission is obtained to access areas (and where areas are strictly controlled) prior to commencing with any work.
•Ensure that quotes and purchase orders are obtained according to Company standard and are signed off by the Group Technical Manager and the relevant Hospital Manager.
•Ensure that service providers submit invoices timeously for the all jobs done, of accruals for invoices not received.
•Compile monthly report which include financial analysis of the expenses and provide an explanation if overspend for the month.
•Ensure company standards are complied with/adhered to by service providers in terms of reducing risk.
•Be available and accessible in terms of providing a 24-hour standby service when required/scheduled to do so.
•National Diploma in Clinical Engineering
•3 years’ experience in hospital/healthcare industry
