ROLE SUMMARY

The Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Leader will be responsible for coordinating improved quality nursing care by ensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice. The incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team. In accordance the incumbent will be accountable for coordinating capacity building, mentoring and training.

Requirements
Registered as a General Nurse with the South African Nursing Council or equivalent NQF 7 qualification
Registration with SANC as an OHNP
Certificate in ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 would be an advantage
Certificate in Occupational Health Nursing
Audiometry and Spirometry Certificate (preferred)
Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the LRA, EEA, BCEA, Nursing Act, COIDA and OHSA
Min 3-5 years’ experience in Occupational Health Nursing in an healthcare environment (non-negotiable)
Experience in: Clinical occupational health nursing, Medical Surveillance, Waste Management, Quality and risk management, Education and training facilitation
Experience in SHE management systems
Experience in Incident Management
Dialysis Experience would be an advantage
Familiar with Quality Improvement Processes
Dispensing license
Driver’s license
Willing to travel
