Specification
Teaching courses in the whole field of Hydro-Engineering at both undergraduate and postgraduate level (MSc Civil Engineering and MSc Water Resources Management).
Supervise and mentor postgraduate students (particularly developing PhD approaches), and be involved in Department, University, and Professional service.
Develop and maintain an internationally recognized, cross-disciplinary research program, and to be able to contribute to current running activities in the Department and the University.
Establish strongly externally-funded research programs that complements existing Departmental strengths.
Requirements
Should be in possession of a B.Eng or BSc (Honours) degree, a Masters degree and a PhD degree and background expertise relevant to Civil and Environmental Engineering specifically in the area of Water Resources Engineering including Urban Water Systems. Three (3) years lecturing experience at Associate Professor level, research and publications and service to the academic and wider community will be required. Should also belong to relevant engineering professional body and have experience in leadership and must have supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students. A cumulative and sustained record of twenty five (25) publications is required of which seven (7) must have been published since attaining the rank of Associate Professor. At least twelve (12) of the publications must be refereed scholarly works.
