Working as part of a team providing a comprehensive, accurate and timely accounting service which will enhance the position of the company..
Full accounting function

- Cashbooks, journals, intercompany transactions, accruals, trial balances, reconciliations
- Prepare and submit statutory returns
- Prepare monthly audit schedules for balance sheet and selected expense accounts, also explain deviations
- Preparation on year-end account and coordination with external auditors
- Assist in the preparations of budgets
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, adhoc & yearend reporting as required by management
- Expense Analysis
* Good understanding in statutory legislation
- Statutory returns monthly & recons
- Timeous capturing of statutory returns
- Monthly balancing and reconciling of statutory returns to the GL
* Allocate, capture and control sundry expenses
- Prepare sundry creditors for payment, allocate payments, reconcile
- Foreign creditors
* Assets – Register and Journals
- Update fixed asset register on a monthly basis
- Complete monthly depreciation journals
* Monthly Control / Clearing Accounts Balancing
- Maintain financial records and prepare general ledger accounts
- Maintain debit order and SLA file, update and review on a monthly basis
- Record financial transactions
- Record general journal entries
- Effective record keeping of transactions, accounts, special journals and payments
* Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Preparation of schedules and audit file for financials monthly
- Assist FM with Year End and Audit Requirements
- Assist with audits of the company
- Conduct general administration function
- Filing systems implemented and ensure maintained to ensure documents are easily retrievable
Education, experience and skills required :
- Bcom Degree (or recently qualified or even final year)
- ±10 years’ experience in a financial position with a medium to large corporate/private organization
