Reporting to Technical Operations Manager.
The incumbent is responsible for directing and vision mixing live and pre-recorded productions.
•Ensuring equipment is ready and technical checks are completed.
•Ensure that programs conform to station policies and regulations.
•Operate equipment to produce programs or broadcast live programs from remote location.
•Liaise with Operations Manager in order to formulate and maintain standard operating procedures.
•Act as liaison between engineering and technical operations to report equipment failure.
•Responding to equipment failure and finding work around solutions
•Assist with training the crew when using equipment such as switchers, cameras, monitors, microphones, lighting etc.
•Check desk to see if everything is working and all relevant elements is loaded for production, if any irregularity is found report to engineering.
•Select required images and ensure a smooth transition between shots which involves 'cutting', 'mixing' and 'wiping'
•Monitor different media/ visual sources, i.e. pictures from several cameras, digital video effects, and graphics and outside broadcast materials.
•Ensure vision mixing follows correct broadcast standards
•Ensure that all the key elements i.e. crawlers and lower thirds units are setup correctly
•Setup DVE elements as per production/show requirements
•Manage the technical crew during live and pre-recorded productions
•Manage freelance staff during live and pre-recorded productions
•Ensure that the crew maintains safe and responsible handling of the equipment

Languages: Business English
Experience: Minimum of 5 year relevant experience
