The purpose of this position is to direct and coordinate the Telecommunications and Information Technology Security and compliance management program of the organisation, and provide functional expertise for cyber security assessment to ensure the level of information security risk is maintained and are acceptable in accordance with the security policy.

•Formulates and administers the IT Security Policy so that it conforms to all relevant compliance.
•Develop and direct Security compliance monitoring programs to ensure compliance-related risks are managed to the appropriate level of acceptable residual risk by planning, co-ordinating staff and available resources to regularly assess, evaluate, and monitor identified risks.
•Review existing and new system designs to ensure essential security measures are in place and monitor the state of technology and (business) associated services
•Develop emergency procedures for handling security breaches and oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches.
•Assist in formulating security requirements for new ICT projects. Validate whether security requirements are met for specific ICT implementations or changes to existing infrastructure and applications.
•In partnership with other business units, develop and periodically review the Cyber Security assessment framework to facilitate periodic assessment of cyber security compliance risks for the organisation and help validate the controls in place.

•Relevant bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent, with a business component ,- 4years
•Information Security Systems Certification will be an advantage
•Worked within an Information Security environment where the incumbent dealt directly with Information Security aspects - 6 years
•Prior exposure to Risk management & Compliance principles - 2 years
•Supervisory capacity - 2 years
•In depth knowledge of information Security Incidents Management & Disaster recovery
•In depth knowledge of Information Security Standards & Principles.
•Must be fully computer literate.
•Must be in Possession of a valid driver’s license (compulsory).
