Introduction
The Clinical Facilitator (CF) is responsible for integrating theory and practice by facilitating, assessing and recording the cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills of learners for the development of safe clinical practitioners. The CF assures a high education standard outcome in terms of regulations, policies, procedures and directives of the SANC, the Academy and the Clinical Facilities.

Specification
•Participates in the planning and implementation of strategic activities of the Academy.
•Assists with the operational plan by compiling a clinical block programme.
•Ensures coverage of the prescribed curriculum and clinical requirements of SANC.
•Accompanies, mentors and evaluates learners at clinical facilities and Liaises and communicates feedback sessions to Clinical Facilities.
•Maintains and updates the clinical programme.
•Maintains records to serve as evidence of learning.
•Ensures self-education (CPD) through keeping informed of all the policies, procedure.
•Monitors and maintains a clinical register for each learner in the clinical facilities.
•Orientates all learners at the academy in all the aspects of the clinical requirements, processes and procedures.
•Monitors and records learner assessment and progress on clinical competence.
•Monitors learner attendance in clinical training.
•Submits a progress report before the quarterly progress meetings.
•Documents all performance management and manages poor performers.
Requirements
•Grade 12/ Matric Certificate.
•Diploma in General Nursing.
•Diploma/ Degree in Nursing Education.
•Studying towards a Master’s Degree advantageous.
•Assessor and Moderator certificate.
•Current SANC registration.
