Reporting to the Finance Reporting & Analysis Manager, this position will have the main responsibility collation and storage of returns for all taxes and tax computations, reconciliation of all tax accounts in the General Ledger to Tax Authorities for all Sub-Sahara entities, liaison with company’s third part tax consultants in the various countries and other ad hoc reconciliations.
Collation and storage of returns for all taxes and tax computations on a central data base for the year for all entities.
Reconciliation of all tax accounts in the General Ledger to Tax Authorities documentation for all Sub-Sahara entities
Liaison with company’s third party tax consultants in various countries for information.
Other Ad Hoc reconciliations
The successful applicant will need:
A recognized financial degree Bcom or CA qualification
Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting environment, preferably which is responsible for Sub-Sahara financial affairs
Must have been involved in the computation of taxation for entities
Reconciliation of taxes paid between the general ledger and tax authorities
Working knowledge of various taxes (CIT, Payroll, VAT & WHT) in Sub-Sahara (South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Lesotho and Mozambique).
