Introduction
We seek to employ a seasoned OTC Product Manager who will be responsible for managing the development and communication of brands by coordinating market research, sales projections, designs, budgets, promotional campaigns and profitability in line with corporate objectives. The successful incumbent will also be responsible for identifying new products to ensure future portfolio growth

Specification
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning:

Product marketing and promotion management which includes:
•Formulating strategies for new and existing products in both the medium and the long term for approval by Group Product Managers and Marketing Executive.
•Quarterly data mining and management for positional strategies: IQVEA and ImpactRx
•Briefing of Creative agencies (internal and external) and management of conceptual strategy for timeous and strategic roll out
•Briefing of Communication team and input into bi-annual content plan
•Drive Patient Support Programme (PSP) initiatives
•Brief press / relevant media (industry) to gain appropriate product exposure
•Developing relationships with key clients and opinion leaders in order to conduct market research, gain insights on competitor activity and test strategies
•Preparation and delivery of presentations (new product launches, brand plans and cycle meetings)
•Preparation and management of marketing plans and budgets
•Preparing innovative promotional inputs for implementation of marketing strategies
•Monthly analysis of Sales and Marketing trends to inform future stock projections
•Active market analysis to identify viable new business opportunities for inclusion in the new product pipeline

Product Portfolio Management:
•Ensuring effective product management and product building activities
•Managing products through the life cycle
•Achieving top and bottom line targets as per organizational goals
•Effective budgeting and allocation of financial resources
•Tracking marketing spend monthly and liaising with Finance to ensure correlation with monthly financial management reports.
•Making pricing recommendations to meet revenue and profitability goals
•Recommend sales incentives
•Work with the National Key Accounts and Market Access Manager for inclusion of Pharma Dynamics products on medical aid formularies and KA listings
•Liaise with the Marketing Administrator to ensure completion of all documentation necessary for product pricing
•Tracking of market share and evaluating any changes in the market to allow fast reaction to competitor activities
•Marketing material sign-off and archiving diligence as per SOP requirements

New Business Development
•Identifying wish list products
•Liaising with Business Development to source new dossiers for future portfolio growth
•Preparing and presenting for Product review committee (PRC) meeting for approval of new dossiers
•Bi-annually updated Launch Readiness Plans (LRP)

Sales Force Product Implementation
•Launching new products
•Ensuring the tools for implementation of the marketing plan and programs are delivered to the sales force on time
•Training of sales force as per product requirements, in line with marketing plans
•Planning, organizing and attending congresses and SMART functions as required
•Work in field with Sales Representatives to ascertain their implementation of strategies and effective use of promotional material
•Equip sales force to reach customers via Omni-Channels platforms (webinars, emails, WhatsApp, virtual detailing)

Requirements
PRE-REQUISITES

•Relevant B degree (Marketing /Business Management / Science)
•5 years pharmaceutical sales and/or brand management experience
•OTC/ CAM experience
