The purpose of the role is to develop and deliver cutting edge payments, remittances and financial solutions, that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth of new revenue in accordance with the set strategic priorities across the Group.

Responsible for Payments P&L - end to end ownership of the Payment products roadmap, from ideation through to execution

Provides leadership and support as a subject matter expert on market and payments landscape

Conducts market research and develops customer-focused solutions

Delivers solutions in agile way through the payments and remittance product development lifecycle by leading in-house drafting business requirements, prioritising features, authoring user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborating with team members to ensure product features are delivered according to specifications.

Leads the formation and execution of the Remittance and payment products short, medium and long-term product management strategies in alignment with overall Letshego objectives and business targets.

Leads the design or enhancement of product features and specifications, whilst working with internal (e.g. digital, IT, compliance, risk management) and external (e.g. vendors, partners) stakeholders and ensuring compliance to internal and external guidelines and/or regulatory requirements

Achieves Remittance and payment goals in the following areas: revenue, volume, usage, service levels and customer migration into digital channels.

Performs analysis of payments industry, international payment partners and design suitable product solutions based on market’s demand.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent

A Master’s degree in business is an added advantage

At least 15 years post qualification experience of which 5 years should be in a senior management role, preferably in a payments / remittance function in a multi-country setting in Africa,

Experience in International remittances (FX settlements / Cash settlements in equity)

Demonstrated track record in driving strategic digital/mobile/online initiatives, digital transformation (e.g., digital strategy, global organisation online revenue/service roadmaps, online banking planning, design and build)

Working and delivering results through various channels, including both face-to-face and electronic media interactions

Experience with business transformation and managing e-commerce projects
