The purpose of the role is to drive the development, growth and profitability of the savings and deposits model across all subsidiaries, ensuring changing customer, business needs and requirements are recognised and adapted on a timely basis across subsidiaries.

Leads Saving, Deposit & customer journeys responsible for P&L target.
Coordinates product owners & virtual teams around Customer Journeys.
Provides product performance oversight in line with Group strategy and budgets for savings and deposits
Develops growth and defence strategies for savings and deposits markets
Identifies innovation opportunities that leverage the business agenda for savings & deposits, constantly seeking to improve and enhance the savings & deposits model.
Drives revenue growth through formulation and implementation of savings & deposits campaigns using intelligent and descriptive customer insights.
Designs, develops and or improve current saving products and services to meet the overall business goals and by applying a customer centric approach.
Provides direction and guidance on the roll-out of all savings & deposits projects including new products through developing strong partnerships with the in-country and group stakeholders ensuring successful delivery of projects across the subsidiaries.
Drives and influences the alignment of the savings & deposits source country strategies to that of the Group to ensure a single face to the market with a compelling value proposition.
Supports the implementation of stakeholder engagement in support of the Group Chief Product Officer across the savings & deposits countries to build and nurture relationships and serve as a resource and point of contact.
Ensures compliance with statutory, regulatory and supervisory requirements across the savings and deposits subsidiaries.
Conducts market research and analyses the resulting data to identify market opportunities for business growth related to Saving Deposit mobilization.
Develops, implements and oversees policies, procedures and guidelines for Saving products in the ever-changing landscape of the financial institution’s industry
Manages the risks associated with deposit operations by ensuring controls, policies, and procedures are established and in place.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent.
Post Graduate training in Financial Products, Banking
At least 15 years post qualification experience of which 5 should have been in a senior management in the financial services industry preferably Banking / Microfinance
Extensive experience of leading a product function in a retail financial services environment
Demonstrated track record in identifying, driving and delivering on improvements to a digital customer experience within a financial services environment
Strong cross-functional experience across multiple business units and/or industries
