University of Namibia herewith invites all qualified candidates to apply for the position of Assistant Lecturer: Physiotherapy (X 2) in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation within School of Medicine at Hage Geingob Campus.
Teaching physiotherapy to students and assisting in module development; Lecturing requirements for the domains of women’s health / geriatric care/ peadiatrics / electrotherapy / hydrotherapy/ therapeutic exercise/vocational rehabilitation in physiotherapy stretches over the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of the course in Physiotherapy Science I & II, Applied Physiotherapy I & II. More lecturing capacity in this domain is further reiterated by the need for clinical supervision and facilitation in the 3rd year and 4th year when the students will be on clinical rotations with the above named domains for in-patients and out-patients; performing administrative duties; eork together with the colleagues of the physiotherapy programme and the department; coordinator to further the development of the physiotherapy programme.
BSc in Physiotherapy (Hons); be registered with HPCNA or registerable as an Physiotherapist. Preferably 2 years’ academic teaching and clinical teaching experience in a tertiary institution to under graduate students. Clinical experience in general physiotherapy practice (women’s health / geriatric care / peadiatrics / electrotherapy / hydrotherapy / therapeutic exercise / vocational rehabilitation). Clinical Supervision, Clinical facilitation of students in Windhoek Central Hospital and Katutura Intermediate Hospital, outpatient clinics or any other settings (acute, non-acute or rural settings).
