The University of Namibia is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the vacant Specialist: IT Security position in the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology Services (DICTS) at Main Campus.

Provides the vision and strategies necessary to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of University electronic information by communicating risk to the Director and the Vice Chancellor, creating and maintaining enforceable policies and supporting processes. Direct the development and delivery of information security standards, best practices, architecture, processes, and systems to ensure information system security across the University, and develops and coordinate information security awareness and education programs.

A Honour’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with five (5) years working experience, 2 years thereof should be Information Security and at least 2 years at a supervisory level. CISSP, Security+, CISM will be an added advantage.
